Job Type: Permanent, Consultant considered

We require a Commercial Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE to work on existing matters and create new business. The role is based in Leyburn North Yorkshire with offices in Richmond and Hawes. Hybrid working is available.

Experience and skills:  

  • 3+ years PQE (applications from all levels will be considered on merit). 

  • Strong foundation in commercial law.

The role includes a wide range of administrative duties supporting a conveyancing solicitor with the following responsibilities;

  • Providing clients with quotes 

  • Preparing Client Care Letters 

  • Providing updates to clients, estate agents and mortgage advisors 

  • Preparation and issuing draft Contract documentation for both Freehold and Leasehold transactions 

  • Using the Land Registry portal for the request of documentation and applications to the Land Registry 

  • Updating systems on Lender Exchange and LMS 

  • Preparing and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax forms 

  • Uploading information for Help to Buy ISA's 

  • Dealing with post-exchange and post-completion work 

  • Preparing files for completion 

  • Registration of purchase transaction following completion 

 

You will need a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team, together with the following attributes:-

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (training will be provided on our case management system, LEAP)
